5 Reasons not to spend money on expensive jewelry!

As far as I can remember, it was never worth buying expensive jewelry for me or even giving it to someone. Stick through this article, and I'll explain why. It was summertime in 1999, and I had just begun my 10th-grade year in high school, and my mom gifted me an expensive white gold bracelet she had bought from a high-end store. I thought to myself, oh my God! How cool is this! Then the sad truth stung me in the back when a friend in class asked me if he could take a look at it and told me this could not be actual white gold because the white gold plating was worn out on one spot revealing the solid material that was Silver. Now you might think oh my gosh, you got ripped off! My mom did get ripped off, but it taught us a lesson that price markups at some stores are ridiculous, which led me to want to create a business online where people could buy excellent fashion jewelry and accessories for affordable prices—items such as necklaces, rings, watches, bracelets, earrings and more. Let me give you the five reasons not to buy expensive jewelry from any high-end retailer unless you want to and don't mind spending a lot of money.

  1. You can lose it at an event or party while dancing and having fun.
  2. Your taste in style might change, and you just might be stuck with an expensive piece of jewelry. But, unfortunately, the material is not even close to what you paid for. So now the resale price is very low.
  3. If you participate in any sports, you don't want to leave anything in the locker room. But unfortunately, almost all of us have dealt with our locker being broken into at some point in our lives.
  4. You can save money and buy multiple pieces of fashion jewelry that people can't even tell if it's gold or gold plated. But, honestly, I rather just have the gold-plated version and spend the rest on something else.
  5. Losing it! My biggest reason I don't like to wear authentic gold jewelry. I sometimes lose it and then never end up finding it. Lol.
